ADVANCED BUILDING ONLINE COMMUNITIES

The course is a guide to the different roles as online community researchers, designers, managers, and users. It will introduce important concepts, terms, and theories about online communities. A better understanding of how social science research can help design interaction spaces that encourage community building.
Assessment 1: Online Community Scan
This assessment involved an scan of online communities for college writing center administrators and staff
Assessment 2: Educational Online Community Analysis
This assignment, with Iris Castillo, was an analysis of the WCenter online Listserv which focuses on college writing canter administration, policy, and practice
Assessment 3: Designing an Online Community
This final assessment created an online community utilizing Facebook Groups that exclusively caters to Community College Writing Center Administrators
